What type of BN do you think?

Jury is still out on this one, anyone any suggestions, and why.

he is approx 4 inches SL and I have had him several years now.

What was the most likely that the bn is?

well was sold as L298 but the only pic i can find of one 289 is in DATZ book and that has a hi-fin shape.
I know its not L182 as I had some of these and they were bigger.
This is about the same size as my L183 but without the white seam.
He is also a very black one and not as prone to going greyer when stressed or disturbed as the l183 and L182 did. He has too many rays on dorsal to be 213.

Have you looked at the L071, L181, L249(same bn)?

Juvvies have a white seam on tail but most seem to lose it as adults.

Theres a pic of a L289 in back to nature book, doesn't seem a spotty as yours plus has white on the tail but then may be a juvvie.

yes I had pondered, dorsal certaily looks right, but PC (which is not always right but usually is) puts these at about 8 inches SL, and I dont think mine is still growing I have had him several years.

The back to nature book has them at 12-15cm(max) which is 4.7-5.9 inches--not sure if thats SL or TL
