Just got a new tank a corner unit around 500ltr has anyone got any pics of there corner unit, trying to figure out how i want to set it up.:hi:

I have smaller corner tank -190 trigon
SO HARD to take photos with curve glass!!!
the layout changes now and again, here it is at the moment (has 2 blue phantoms -can see one one the left sticking tail out of cave, cories and tetras)
a bit overrun with plants at the mo...
in setting, pot on top has growing micro worms -lol.
...and yes that is a pic of Scatz getting married

Wow there amazing i love the heavily wooded tank. Has yours got built in filtration?
How do you culture your micro-worms? i use bread and water it tends to go a little potent on the nose after a while.

Lovely tank Irene. I now use "Rolled oats" for my microworms. The cultures last longer than they did when I used the more finely ground "instant oat cereal" (although I still use this for Grindal worms).
I only need to sub-culture about once a month with Rolled Oats, and I haven't had a culture go "bad" on them.

My corner tank has 5 sides, it's a pentagan (will try n find a pic) and in the process of being cleaned out...which means I get to shop for new backgrounds, gravel, wood, ect...:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

for microworms...
i use either porrage oats (cooked with water) or ready brek and usually do a new batch every 3 weeks or so as they get a bit dry and smelly. never tried bread.
Do you cook the rolled oats or just mix with cold water?

Thats the one, stunning tank mate.
As for the worms bread seemed to rot far to quickly i was changing it every week an a half.

OK OK - there are lots of corners but none of them are suitable for a 350L tankNo corner for it to go in Russ ?!? Well make one !!!
HOWEVER.... there is a nice long wall thats not got anything restricting a tank on it.... the "gap" is actually 10ft long but there is no way ig be allowed thaty.... pushing for an 8x1.5x2 (LxWxH) but who knows...
I should list it for sale really.... raise some funds for the new one. :yes:

Ok here is my take on the trigon .....
I love the trigon especially the 350......now If I had no corners suitable I would get straight on ebay and get another...then I would put them back to back and have a half circle (I have seen this done and it looks good) there is a slight gap between the glass but if you silicone a strip of glass (or perspex its easier to cut) down this gap it looks seemless.
now If I had a corner that convex rather than concave (a corner that stuck out) then this would be even better because then I would be straight on ebay and I would get 2 more (giving me three) and I would form a 3 quarter pie shape round the corner....and again make it seemless. I think this would just be the icing on the cake.
now if I had a large room then why not just have four trigons and have a complete circle in the middle of the room.....??
I love trigons ....versatile and looks amazing in beech.
but remember....there is a slight design flaw in trigons.....
the plastic feet on the bottom of the cabinets do not support the weight of the trigon and will crack/shatter and they should either be removed or replaced with something tougher...
but in all brilliant tanks and I might be picking up some when I get moved into my new house.....

My old LFS had the 4 in a circle, looked good. All different biotypes and one with a huge scobi in, floated my boat!
