I am selling my breeding trio of peppermint catfish.
Both females breed with the male, on average I get around 150 fry every 6-8 weeks, sometimes a single spawn can exceed 100 eggs (highest to date is 108 fry hatched and counted).
The females tend to breed with the male around every 3 weeks, on one occasion both females actually laid eggs at the same time (a day appart) and the male had a monster clutch of 160+ eggs to guard.
The male is 13cm TL, I measured him by hand today
The females are 12cm and 11cm, the larger of which has put out 100+ batches before.
I feed the fish a large variety of foods to keep them healthy and well conditioned for breeding. They enjoy OSI Algae Wafers, Hikari Blood Worms, fresh veg, shrimp pellets and colour bits as their main diet, and also brine shrimp and other occasional treats.
I am looking to sell either the larger female and the male as a pair for $200, or all three as a trio for $250. Not selling either female separately so please don't ask.
