I think new members do have problems with EOI threads mate
Some older members do too. I would've bought them myself straight away if it was a FS thread with a price

Swordfish,,,i totally agree ,, EOI totally understood , but how can someone who has never had them before or bought them can even send a quote for the same ,,,,,,,,,
Fishy , we all start at some point of time as a newbie and all learn the hard way either in one aspect or another
i guess if u still want to keep it as EOI , on receiving a PM can you give an approx price reply if the person has no clue ,, someone like me ,,,,
Thanks Heaps

update

these are all sold thanks. in reply to swordfish and maxpleco as stated i purchased through eoi why does it not give me the right to sell them that way unfortunately eoi is there to be used and only site moderartor can do something about it not us . I totally agree there has to be a starting point on this occasion it was taking offers how hard could it be do your research based on what others have been advertised for sure there was a few i put up a price just last week on smaller ons put it a what i thought was good deal what happens every one want to bargain it is naturally in us to bargain that is why did not set a price. all have is last two 144s which i promised to give to bluesniper for free as i a fair man just wanted to get most my money back as we all know you dont make money in this hobby we are in it for fun if they breed probably covers electric bills foot etc .

Sorry mate didn't mean to upset you. I just think normal for sale ads make more sense as you can set a price you think they are worth & can be as flexible or inflexible as you want.
They are your fish though & you can do what you want.
If you had set a price I would've bought them the second you advertised, not stuffed you around & paid you cash that night but that's just me
Cheers

if there is no EOI available someone will post a high price up... eg trio of 128's might ask 6k... and no-one will answer thinking its ridiculous price...

the fish needed to be sold in a set time and the seller wanted the best price... one cannot blame the seller for this... the alternative is to have an open auction - which then brings more problems and the mods then have to get involved...

as much as i personally dont like EOI very much it is there for a reason... it means the seller has a lot of pms to answer and negotiate and does all the work himself...

if you ask for offers around 4-5k no-ones gonna offer 5k they will all start at 4k... and try even lower... human instinct to try and get the best price...

anyway the seller achieved what he wanted and sold the fish... hope the buyers are happy and they breed for them

I could say so much about EOI threads as I have been a member of Qldaf.com since 2010 and I have been breeding fish earlier than that date I joined that site.
I keep a very low profile but on this occasion it is not worth my point of argument.
