Yesterday Rabbit and I road tripped our way up to sydney for the day. We initially we planned to go up to get my bichirs and then decided to see what else we could find up there. We packed the car full of 9 Styro boxes, a couple of battery powered air pumps and some heat bags.

After a 5 O'clock departure time we were in Sydney around 10 when I bought up 1 Spotted Eel and 5 Severums.
Our next destination was another half hour drive further north where we picked up 5 Geophagus Rio Branco for Scott's new display tank.
On the way we stopped into Kellyville Pet Store (supposedly the biggest in Sydney), they have an awesome aquarium set up (didn't bother with the rest of the store). Found some short finned eels which we were tempted to purchase but refrained.
We finally got to the geos and the guy selling them was hungover so he sat down while we tried to net them. They are Absolutely stunning fish and I was quite tempted to buy the adult colony which he also had. But once again refrained.
Next stop was the bichirs. On the way we stopped into another pet shop where we found a tiny albino oscar with unreal markings that neither of us had seen on an oscar before. I bought him.
Finally we arrived at around 3 where I bought the 2 albino senagalus approx. 20cm. The guy who I bought them off told us about a shop run in an industrial area that we should check out before we left off.
We decided to check it out. We found a shed full of tanks, full of fish . I come across some saratoga jardini for sale and decided to get 2. One has real black tinge to him and the other is lighter with beautiful deep red spot markings on his fins.

We finally left sydney around 6.30/7. A long trip home and got to my house at around midnight. A good day with lots of good finds.

At the end we ended up with
1x Spotted Eel
1x Oscar
2x Saratoga Jardini
2x Albino Bichirs
5x Geophagus Rio Branco
5x Severums

16 fish in total.

Good Times.

Pics will be up in the next few days.

Wow, you guys did have fun! Not too sure about how the wives will feel when they see the hole in your wallets lol. I've got to find the time one day to do a day trip around some of Sydney aquariums. Should be interesting.

Can't wait to see pics

hahaha yeah for the fish I got I'm stoked. Except lost one severum, but he was fairing the worst from the trip. The rest are all doing great though. And I've got one of the saratogas to take pellets. I was beginning to wonder if they ever would..... But all of my rainbows are gone :dk:

Lol unforunately mick we may have to wait for tax time next year.. I don't think I can manage raising those funds without spending up at the lfs.. ahwell It's what I work 40 hours a week for. lol.
