Hi,

I have a 450l tank. Had no problem before with cycle.

Moved tank from one location to another in space of 3hrs. Think bio system died.

Now it's been 2 months and I was doing constant daily water changes to lower ammonia. I have stopped that now and found increasing the air flow has stopped my losses, including low ph. 6.2

My problem is that my cycle will not start. 4ppm ammonia. No nitrite whatsoever. No nitrate whatsoever. And it's been 2 months.

60l pond filter inclosed. With 5000l/hr pump.

Just check and make sure the town water supply isnt the culprit on the ammonia.

If you are using seachem purigen in the canister you likely won't get a nitrate reading as it purifies it.

Try adding seachem stability daily and cease water changes unless it really really needs it.

Its not possible you trapped small fish or shrimp IN the canister and its their bodies causing the ammonia?

How low has the ph gone? Ph below a certain point will cause denitrifying bacteria to become inactive.
What's in the tank?
When you say moved tank to another location do you mean within the same house/building or a different property? 3 hours is pretty quick to kill off a filter unless you did something really bad with the filters (ie exposed to high temps).

Make sure that the impella is still good!
I had same problem and found the filter was not working 100%

Also 450lts of fresh water will kill good bacteria but doesn't make sense why cycle has not yet taken place ? Could be due to all the WCs

If you have a sponge filter running il move all fish into a tub for a week and let the take cycle
No water changes just clean sponge filter in the tank every day to cause the spike

Sorry about the 66's
Good luck
