hi,tomorrow ill be doing a 50% water change on my 75L,so i can manually remove quite a bit off staghorn algae with out putting my hands in the water.
so what if anything should i watch out for when changing this amount off water as i don,t won,t to stress out the fish or the tank?

That the heater is off!

I've changed that much many times with no issues other than a cracked heater.... ooops

Make sure the filters don't run dry and the heater is off as already said. I do 50% daily water changes on my juvie/fry tanks with room temp water and no issues

All done, had problems turning the heater off tho. It's wired in to the hood, with the lights and light timer. I had to pull the plug for the hole tank!
Had to use a table spot lamp so I could see what I was doing.
Tank looks better now, removed loads of staghorn and a few dead leaves. Fish seam to like having lots of new water.
