Hi all :hi:

I would like to know what speed the flow is out of peoples ro? Mine only does like a fast drip to a very small constant amount? Is this normal? I know it's down to presure and I've looked at pumps on eBay

Would one of these help alot or are they not going to improve it much??

Regards

RO units are typically rated in gallons per day so a trickle is about right. Even with those booster pumps, the flow is still only about the rated capacity of your unit which for a 100gpd unit is only a little over a cup per minute.

I just tested mine the other day and it takes 3.4 minutes to fill 1 litre jug. The supply is from my garage tap and very good pressure.

I have a 50 gallons per day unit but have added an extra membrane and housing making it 100 gpd not that I use that much :D

oops! maybe you could do with one of those pumps or add another membrane so you get more ro per minute and less waste :D

Got one of those pumps today and it's alot better so well happy now :) There is a constant flow of good water and the waste has increased but no where near as much as the good !! Could I still add another membrane ?? If do I tanks it I connect it to the waste out of the other and I then have 2 good and 1 waste?

Yes the waste from the first membrane goes into the second and you end up with one waste and 2 good ro lines. Give it a go

I've also heard that the flow is always slower when its cold and speeds up a bit when the water is warm but not sure if that is true :dk:

Thanks joby :) Will the system take the pressure and also will it have enough pressure to get 2 good lines of ro? Think I might give it a go :)
