Hi,

I bought 5 Albino Kribensis today because i saw them and, pretty much, fell in love. When i got them home i put them in tank (follow precidures).
I came online to read up on them and spotted that when the female is ready to spawn they get a red belly. After reading this i went and had a look, as i thought 1 looked a little different after i put them in and sure enough 1 had a bright red belly :D.
Question is, What do i do? I don't have a seperate tank ready and i have fish that'll eat the eggs :dk:

Any advice will be most welcomed

Thanks J

well that is what we call an impulse buy. If you have no tank ready, then there is nothing you can really do. get another tank ready and when they get ready to lay again, seperate the couple and let them do their business in the new tank. They are great to watch. cheers jk

You will need to keep a close eye on things as they are very protective parents and will take over 3/4 of the tank if they have fry...They may also turn aggressive to the other Kribs and your dwarf cichlids...I never recommend more than 1 pair to a tank.
