hi guys i have just got home and i have free swimming platinum angel fry.
will powdered tetra prima or doromin be ok as a first food

Congrats on the spawn! The powdered food should be ok. The other thing I've used with great success is to hard boil an egg, then separate the yolk. Take a small piece of the yolk and put it in a cheese cloth. take the small package and put it near the free swimming fry and gently squeeze a small bit through the cloth (looks like a light yellow haze) IME the fry go mad for it and grow quickly. Be sure to keep up with water changes as too much can quickly foul the water. :yes:

hi guys, the fry are now feeding on crushed prima and doromin. i will try to get some decent pics and upload them if i can figure out how to resize them

Cool, Congrats! Angel fry are very cool to watch develop. Hope they do very well for you, 1" fry are fetching around 2 quid each where i'm at. Looking forward to seeing some pics mate. :)

Dont they feed off the mucus from the parents for a while or is that just discus?
