Hi Guys,

I'm trying to replace the on/off lever and release button on the above filter and it ain't happening LOL !

Beginning to think they have sent the wrong size of release button. On/off lever seems fine. Anyone done this, or know if the release button comes in different sizes to suit the various models. I did order the one for the 2075, but it seems smaller than the on that jammed.

All help greatly appreciated, before the stupid thing gets launched LOL !

Hi Bob,

The filter was purchased from Zooplus. It was still under warranty, so I contacted Eheim. They sent out the spares. I stated the model No and was quite surprised with what arrived. I took it for granted Eheim would send out the relevant sized parts, that's why I started to question what I was doing.

I also have the smaller model, the 2073, but it looks different from that too. Wonder if they have slightly altered the design since I bought mine ?

Very kind of you to offer doing the repair for me, but the postage probably would be a fair bit.

Put it to one side for the moment, and will go back to it. Considering getting back in touch with Eheim to see what they say. Surely they would have sent the right size ... ?

Hi ,

Just a quick update.

Contacted Eheim re the release switch and asked if they had sent the appropriate sized parts. They are sending out two new switches. Seems like they originally sent the wrong ones.

At least I don't feel quite as stupid now LOL !

Thanks Bob for the reply. I think I will contact John Allen in future. The time it has taken Eheim to sort it out, my filter bacteria is dead. At least it was only a back up on my big cichlid tank ...... could have been a lot worse.

Thanks again.
