apple snails

i was given about 10 apple snails that i had thrown into one of my tanks was jujst woundering do they eat eggs ? i put them in my ram tank just dont want there eggs to be eaten ! if anyone knows thanks

if they are large snails they might just crawl over the eggs and damage them. they dont generally eat eggs unless hungry. they like veg in the tank.
do you have another tank you can put them in? eg Bn tank? they are good for BN fry.

yes il be setting up my fry tank again tomorrow to move some fry over

it has been afew days now that fry are on there own i had put 1 snail in with them they are small apples. my question is should i add more snails ?
is the snail good for fry because of there slim or do the fry eat the eggs ?

hi, fry cant eat the eggs because if they are apple snails, they wont lay eggs until nearly and inch big and they lay eggs above the water line.
the snails produce infusoria which is food for fry.
