Aquaball or Biopower?

Which of these would be better in a 180L with an external already being used?

exactly, sorry did not make it clear I was shouting for Eheim not the type. My self I quite like the Biopower , but have not had the chance to play with the Biopower

I use aquaballs to supplement my externals, never have any probs at all. I fill one of the baskets with fluval bio max. Not sure which is better tho as haven't used Biopower

The diff is that biopower has bio media and sponge, where the aquaball is all sponges and the water intake is a bit different

I was looking at both of these for one of my 2 foot tanks and decided on the biopower 160 as it has the bio-media. I think it's a great little filter.

if you already have an external filter then i would use the power ball one.
I have some of each. the bio ones clog up much more easily

I have only used the aqua ball ones and never had a problem :thumbup:

Either are good as a secondary filter just go for the one that fits your pocket best both great little filters

I use both, can't see much difference with them except when I opened the biopower one to lean the little balls go everywhere :wb: but maybe i'm just clumsy but will stick with the aquaball all sponged ones in future

Think i'll plump for the aquaball. I have the external for bio filtration.
