Hi :hi:

I was just wondering at what size did everybody's L134 and L260 started to breed :dk::dk:

I have a group of 6 L134 that are 9-10cm TL and i believe there is 2 males and 4 females in the group now. 2 of the females look very fat at the moment so i'm hoping for some joy in the near future fingers crossed

I also have a group of 5 L260 that are 7cm TL poss a touch bigger and i believe i have 2 male and 3 females. One of the females looks like her belly is about to burst and the 2 males seem to be arguing about who gets what cave :dk::dk:

I have made these 2 groups up from various sources and they seem to be getting on with each other for the most part. But do you think that my groups are old/big enough to have a go yet :dk: ?

Thanks :)

hi, well you never know. some reckon plecs can start breeding when half of the full adult size!!! Having said that theres a lot more to it than how old they are and some of each sex. I have a group of L134 that are quite a few years old and have been fully grown for over a year, but I have not managed to get them to breed yet.
best of luck.

My L134 are about 2.5" - 3" I have a trio of one male and 2 females. The male has bred 3 times now with the bigger female. I've had them since August last year bought from someone else who'd had them for 8 months himself but had no luck breeding them. They are wild caught though and so not sure of age :dk: but they've not grown anymore in the year I've had them.

Hi Joby

Yeah mine havent grown much since i got mine about a year ago or poss longer now. I'm sure its a case of just conditioning them and getting the conditions perfect and i will be there :D

These seem to be a law unto themselves where spawning is concerned  I think if they are going to do it they will just surprise you one day with eggs
