We have for sale some home-bred axolotls who are 3-4 months old.
They are around 7-12cm in size and feeding well on frozen brine shrimp, krill, bloodworm, beefheart, but also have live daphnia and mosquito larvae as a treat.
These are cold water aquatic salamanders and will eventually need a 3-4ft tank with places to hide and well-filtered water. They may eventually reach up to 15 inches in size but 10-12 inches is more usual. They are not suitable to house with fish.
They are also not suitable to house with larger axolotls as they will very quickly become food!
The parents can be seen as they are our pets. Always smiling!
