Mine get frozen bloodworms/lobster eggs tetra prima/doromin (crushed so it will sink) earthworm/brineshrimp/bloodworm/hikari carnivore pellets. They get this all the time once a day and spawn regularly

Joby with your lobster eggs and other frozen foods, do you defrost first or place the cube int he tanks. Also do you switch off the filters or turn down before adding foods, as my filtration is about 15-20 times tank size an hour and all food gets washed away within seconds, so I turn filtration down for an hour or so.

Never been a fan of frozen foods for exactly that reason, it goes straight up the filters. I turn them off and then go to bed forgetting to turn them back on so gave up on the frozen stuff. Also, plecs seemed to find only the bits wedged somewhere and if had gone off and gave them bacterial infections.

Now I am trying something new. A coarse sponge over the canister intake which doesnt impede the filtration and wavemaker rotor for current. Nothing catches on it and it just pushes the food around the tank, usually ending up sitting on the sponge.

I put a bit of a ledge or driftwood near the sponge so the plecs can swim up under cover to feed. Got some zebs now who sit under the sponge just waiting for me to put the food in.

I defrost first and aim it to a still bit of tank so it don't all fly off :D
