Look nice, but are pretty boring. If you keep them with plecs, you won't see them ever, because they'll be caving all the time. My male even shared residence with a brooding L-66.

I would either keep them with my apple snails and add a breeding log or in my 46 gal with 2 left over glolight tetras and cory cats. I also found out since I started this thread that they breed in caves. Hmm.... almost like getting another pleco and what's the problem with that? Lol. I said I wasn't going to get any more plecos, maybe that's a way to cheat a little.

Thanks for the link to the German website. I can read German so I did not need the translator. I quess my snail tank is out. But I have R/O water and several Blackwater tanks. It sounds like these fish are not easy to keep and also a little difficult to raise. One of my 10 gal tanks only has MTSs and asassin snails in it. That would make a good quarantine tank for now and a decent tank for later to raise fry. I will have to add some more driftwood but I have plenty of that laying around and also add some blackwater extract. But it has floating plants (water sprites and duckweed) a sponge filter and therefore little current. The adults could be kept with several of my hypans, but only my L340 tank has the space for more fish. I was going to add some of my galaxy rasbora fry in there but they can go to other tanks. And they only eat live food initially but can be trained to eat frozen foods in time. It says they rarely adjust to flakes or micro pellets. But I have Grindal, micro, banana and walter worms and vinegar eels, frozen BBS and daphnia so feeding them should be ok.
They sound like a challenge.
