A friend of mine from another forum got this pleco labeled as a BN but it doesnt look like the Common BN's available. It actually looks like a rubbernose pleco but it has small bristles coming out. Any Ideas???

.

pretty much the 4th colour variant of the common Ancistrus, They would include
Common which is predominately brown, Albino which is white/yellow with red eyes, Calico/marbled which is orange/brown/yellow and the crossed variants that breed usually have mixed babies and some come out that mixed colour like yours, are H.E.T, (there is a good article on another web site but I don't think the host here likes other sites being promoted, which is not a bad thing.)
They are the "4" common s.p readily available.

Some species of Ancistrus other than a Common. So many species its tought to get a true ID without a catch local if wild-caught.
