Hi,

The past couple of times i put prawn in for the L201 and L030s i put in before lights out my Apistos feed on them so i put a couple more in. Each morning i come down the Apistos seem like they're guarding the prawns and they don't look like they've been touched by the plecs they were intended for.

I put them on a kebab skewer to keep them together and to make them sink but i noticed that they sink on their own. Should i scatter them a bit?

Thanks

J

Hi,

They'd eat them. It's the Apistos. They seem to be guarding them and eat them as if they were Pirahnas.
It's actually cool to watch but the plecs don't get a look in.

are the apistos are a pair? how many apistos?
i say scattering or the lights out option would be the best
I have 5 Apistos and i think that i have 3 male and 2 female.
I scattered last night and they looked like they'd been eaten.

If you do scatter them then make sure you keep an eye for any uneaten and remove, otherwise they can cause problems with the water quality. Some people use prawns to start a tank cycle, just some random info for you lol.
