Hey Stan, we are going to update the chat to latest version. The newest version has an option to hide the bar. Should get it done in next day or so.

the chat function is a new addition to the premium members package, those not subscribed won't have access to it

Updated, one the right hand side there are two little upside down triangles, click them to hide the bar. If you are still experiencing lag then I'll find a way to disable it completely if possible.
