Hello everyone. Please forgive me if this sounds like a bunch of dumb questions. Aside from otos and a farlowella I had as a child I am new to plecos. I have a display tank (not attempting to breed anything). It's a 40 gallon breeder, the dimensions of which are 36"X18"X16" (91.44X45.72X40.64 cm). The decor of which is made up entirely of driftwood tangles and dried leaves (Indian almond and oak). Currently in this tank I have 8 rosy tetras, 8 kitty tetras, and 5 Sterba's Corydoras.
I'd like to add some plecos to this since there is plenty of room. Through research I had looked into Panaqolus, of which there are some nice species available for sale. I might go that route but as of now I am leaning more towards omnivores. Two species available to me are at the top of my list, L134 and L260.
So my questions are as follows. Is it possible to combine the two or am I better suited to pick either one or the other? Second question is if I should only have one and you had your choice of either which would you pick?

Hello,
L134 is a Peckoltia, omnivore and like calmer water
L260 is a hypancistrus, omnivore and likes fast water.

my personal choice is to stick to one type only. 3 of the oone L number.
Looking at your set up and the almond leaves and oak, I would tend to go for the L134, which likes calmer water. just my view cheers jk

Thank you very kindly. :) That answer was inline with what I was thinking, but it's always nice to hear it from someone who knows more on the subject. Fewer species does make for a more visually appealing aquarium, in my opinion. I just wanted to check all my options. It seems I have a winner out of my top 4 since I can't find either L010a or L183 for sale.
