clown pleco bloated or gravid?

can anyone tell if these clown plecos are gravid or are full of food or bloated they have been like this for about a week. My camera is broken as I dropped it in a pale of water while photoing my fish awhile back so if anyone can see the video did get compressed, I apologize and understand if it is not clear enough to tell. Only one clown is in the video but both have the same bulging at the sides and the one I caught on camera is the biggest. Also they have been excreting waste which makes me question if it's bloat or eggs?

hard to say. I would quarantine, feed peas for a couple of days and observe. What poo colour do they have ? cheers jk :thumbup:

i would say bloated only how its sitting up near the top of tank in open view iam only saying cause when ive had sick plecos like the clown pleco they have done the same thing,a healthy clown plecol will be hiding 99% of the time cheers

I agree that it looks like bloat...I would try the advice BB gave you, but if the fish is not eating you may need to try some epsom salts and a internal bacterial treatment.

yes they were actually hiding the whole time, I had to move their wood around to get them to go up on the glass so I could get a decent photo, they didn't like that much at all . I put them in this quarantine tank with wood they just hide under the wood and never move from there. the poo color looks normal brownish/wood color.

Clowns get much more rolly-polly than most and that includes males & females. Wouldn't hurt trying what BB said.
