Just brought 2 lovely clown pleco's from my local fish shop.. Im new to fish keeping so I couldnt identify them but my first thoughts was male and female due to the colouring so I asked the assistant in the shop and he didnt have a clue (which helps) any way so I brough both hoping that I've got a male and female.. So heres the pics which Im hoping you lot will be able to identify for me.. Thanks in advance :)

well they got the species right, they are L162, panaque maccus (clown plec) but both look male to me, females will be almost tadpole shaped while males will be more tear drop shaped.
the males will also become very "hairy" all along the flanks when they reach maturity
