I just got some Starlight plecos in trade from a gal who was told they were Green Starlights and would turn Green from the Black that they are now as they get bigger. I've also seen similar ones called White seam and wondered if they are the same species just different names. Does anyone have experience with these?

There are a number of different white-spotted/black Ancistrus that can easily be confused. It's difficult to say what it is or ould be without seeing a picture, both of the fish now and possibly what the adults look like. In most of the white-spotted/black Ancistrus, the juveniles are much darker black and fade as they get older/larger.
