Over the past month I have noticed that my common Plec has started to develop a line of bright yellow along the front edge of his fin. It has slowly spread and now covers more of the fins top surface.
Water Parameters.
PH=7.5
Ammonia=0
Nitrite=0
Nitrate=20 to 40 (my tap water has 20 to 35 in it) I dilute with RO water.
Temperature is 80 degrees
He has undergone 1 session of treatment. The medication was Protozin. It did not appear to make any difference.
My wife noticed that at one time he appeared to have cobwebs on him. I looked and they were very plain to see. 1 hour later and neither of us could see them at all.
He has been off his food and his mouth does not move as fast as it normally does. I have seen him twice rush around the tank and then crash land on the gravel and slide along for a few inches.
His food is Repashy Soilent Green, Hikari wafers and New Life Spectrum Wafers, he also has cucumber and courgettes.
I have sent off for some Esha 2000.
I have put a short video here

any help you can offer would be much appreciated.
Best Regards Keith
