Hey, all! I got two plecos about a month and a half to two months ago from someone. I'm thinking I need to rehome one due to territory issues but I can't do that without knowing exactly what they are in order to inform their new owner on how big they will (or won't) get and what they should eat.

They are both about 9-11 inches. They are about 2 years old but haven't really been fed until I got them. I was told they are high fin plecos. My best guess is that pleco contestant A is a common and B is a gold spot.

Pictures to follow!

You are correct, The first one is a common(appears to be a Pterygoplichthys disjunctivus) and the second one is a L001(Pterygoplichthys joselimaianus).

My L001 hides alot too.

hi, agree to warborg suggestions. they get very large and usually breed in old swimming pools sides full of sand and mud, as they dig caves in the mud to lay eggs.cheers jk
