Hi all. I know that some people keep Cory's with their breeding Plecs. Just wondering if there is a risk of the Cory's eating the Pleco eggs/ fry? I know that there's a risk in the opposite circumstance. Thanks.

i doubt there is any danger of them predating on the fry once they are out and about, there would be a risk to the eggs, but not so long as they are still in the cave with daddy, if however he kicked them out, you'd need to collect the eggs up and put them in a fry saver

Thanks for the reply scatz. Yeah that was my main query regarding the eggs. And perhaps any wrigglers straying. As I have had a pair of Peps breeding in the past and the Male more often than not kicked out the eggs.

I have read a few posts from successful breeders who state they have Corydoras also in and sometimes breeding in their tanks along with their Plecos. So was curious of the risks involved. Thanks mate.

I have a group of large Sterbai in with my bns and the male regularly kicks out eggs but they are always there in the morning for me to scoop out and put in a breeding trap so I don't think mine bother eating them :dk:
