Ive had this tank going for a couple of months and its due for a little journal :)

The tank is a 120L Juwel Lido that I managed to get at a really good price. The substrate is like river sand but a bit more coarse and there is a thin layer of Amazonia at the very bottom.

Plants include a stack of crypts (I love them because they are so easy to keep and look great), fissidens, pellia, amazon sword, aponogeton sp. and some others...

Occasionally I dose dino pee and spit.

At the moment there is 3x Royal whiptails, 1x red whiptail L010A, 2x Long nose whiptails and a Pair of peppermints. I have also put in some breeding caves for the peps in particular, but would be thrilled if any of the cats in there spawned.

Hi-tech equipment for soaking the wood :p

A couple of months later..

My super cute red whip (not the reddest around but I love him/her all the same

Long nose whips (Let me know if you can sex them - Hopefully I have a pair :D)

Hope you enjoy,
Craig

Great looking tank, lovely and natural! Nice to see the development from start to finish, you've stuck with your idea and haven't mucked around and changed it constantly, which some people seam to be unable to manage. Good on you!

Thanks for the comments and Im glad you like the tank :)

The caves are actually made of a ceramic kind of material that is made to look like real wood.

I need to trim the plants soon so if any Aussies would like some crypts, im happy to send you some or have you pick them up :) Just PM me.
