first of all i would like to say we are all safe and sound, and thankyou all for the well wishes. i am amazed at the community spirit on this forum.i was not really expecting all the well wishes and concern that was shown, which also makes me proud to be apart of it.
now back to the breeding. all eggs seem to have been eaten. i am guessing that as the storm got closer they could feel that it was gonna be a really big one.
another thing could have been the noise that came when my rollerdoor was blown in and in the process smashed a 6ft tank to a million pieces.(had no fish in it as i was prepared for that to happen!)
as for as fish sensing these barometric drops , i have used it before a few times during past storms/cyclones to induce a spawn and have been quite successful 90% of the time but i think that this time may have shown that they might know when a storm is just too big and not worth the energy.
i am no expert , just my opinion with my experiences.
once again thankyou all and will be in touch.
