excellent. I have been toying with making a minature lobsterpot with wire and netting for a while but never thought of tryng bottles.
will see if I can find a suitable bottle!

well I have set one up with an oasis fruit juice bottle, too all of 2 minutes! lol.

I give up, my shrimp are too smart.
I did small hole in bottle lid but caught nothing, not even overnight.
so made hole bigger about .5 cm
still nothing! tried it upright and on its side. the shrimps smelt the algae wafer and went in the funnel but would not go through the hole!
guess I will have to try the wire and net trap after all!

i got about 10 shrimp in mine over a 24hr period, no snails though.
so i pulled all the plants out with the net underneath and caught about 100 shrimp in 2 mins. much more effective lol
