Do nipped fins grow back?

Hi,
Yesterday I bought 12 blue rainbowfish to increase my stock, this morning I've noticed that two of them have had their caudal fins nibbled. Yes, I know I should have examined them more closely before buying:wb:. I was wondering if in time they will grow back?
Thanks

 I'll have to agree with Scatz, regular water changes to maintain good water quality should have them good as new before you know it.

most fish fins grow back, but if damage is bad it may grow back a bit odd shaped.
just make sure no fin rot present and it is just nipping that caused it.

I didn't consider fin rot, just assumed it was nipping...cant see any symptoms of fin rot but I'll keep a close eye on them. Thanks for the replies & advice :)

Its hard to explain but fin rot has more of a melted look.

I would check the water parameters to be sure and make sure they aren't stressed at all.

Rainbowfish are cool, pics would be good when you can get some:D

pH 7.9
Ammonia 0 ppm
Nitrite 0 ppm
Nitrate <5 ppm

They are swimming perfectly normally, & are just as greedy as my other rainbows
. In fact their colour is much richer now than it was in the shop, they seem much 'happier'. There are no signs of them being stressed. Should I just wait & see?, I dont want to jump in with a treatment if its not necessary

good, just keep the water qual good with regular changes.
keep an eye on top fins too.
If you suspect there is a slight infection try some API melafix -its just tea tree plant extract, no fancy chemicals but might help.
