Ignore the river snails if you can, if you look carefully you will see heaps of these little flea like critters swimming around, does anyone know what they are ?

Hi mate, I can't see the video but by your description they are most likely Seed Shrimp or Ostracoda to use the proper name.

hard to make out any detail, but could be daphnia or micro organisms that are usually eaten by fish. OR they are tiny fish fry like chiclids have. what fish are in the tank??

Only intentional inhabitants are lf bn x 7, 4 x l134, decent colony of cherries and small colony of crs and cbs.

Unintentional are the ramshorns, river snails and those flea things.

They rarely go up the glass almost always stay on the aquarium floor.

Hi all,
They are probably Ostracods, but I can see what Irene means, the way they are swimming makes them look very fish fry like.

cheers Darrel

Your right it could be ostracods

Someone else suggested to me it is either ostracods or possibly scuds.

When I looked up scud on the net first thing that came up was missiles
