does anyone use zeolite as substrate

I have bare bottom tanks and was wondering if i could use zeolite?
What are the pros and cons of using it.
Its for my L's tanks

hvae not used it. Another thought, use silica sand or pool sand, which you get at the pool shop. It is inert and neutral. Cheap as well. cheers jk :thumbup:

I used it when repotting my Bonsais as the sharpness of the Zeolite would help cut the roots allowing them to multiply. Never thought about using it as substrate in aquarium especially for L'S sharp edges could are like paper cuts for there mouths. But that is just my opinion let us know if you use it and the outcome!
