i find it happens more with hypans though...
i have 2 colonies of 134's and neither wants to spit any fry out for me!!!!
im gonna threaten them with rtc therapy soon!!!

Unreal banana peel! Now the tanks let go, water everywhere. Just as well I caught it before I lost everything. Oh well tank shopping tomorrow. *sigh*

Yes that reminds me I had 3 pairs of paradise fish ,the first male killed his female,I bought another he killed it too,the other male did not allow the female to eat,it became very thin, I separated it feed it to size and put it back in the same thing, put the other female the same, the 3rd male treated his females well and I bred him with both females.

Still got three nice fat females with the two males and everyones having a sleep over in a 65L plastic container tonight. Canister, heater and powerhead all in there too.
Gravel underwater in a tall bucket with an airstone at the bottom bubbling up thru the gravel. Should be able to get away with only a slight mini cycle when I get the new tank.

New tank is 4ft x 15 x 18" same as the old one. Put the ugf in and the gravel which I had in a bucket with water covering and an airstone right down the bottom to keep the bacteria alive. I was in a hurry so just taped a backing on instead of 3 coats of paint.
TDS only 75, ph 7.1 and no signs of ammonia yet. Maybe I got away without a mini-cycle?
