Hi all,

Just bought 3 of these egg tumblers.
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/160687872787?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#ht_1310wt_1141

i have emailed a few people on the forum and searched google all over to find i believe these are the best quality and value for money. TheFishCave has the same sort for sale except smaller in diameter, for 3 times the price. I am all about buying local ect but i couldnt justify $150 on 3 egg tumblers. You all can agree im sure.

Anyone used these egg tumblers?

Thanks
Brad

THere was one somewhat similar in the for sale thread but i think a small egg containment area,
Those ones are definately pricey with postage :)

I am trying to locate a decent egg tumbler aswell

The eBay ones are 2.5" in diameter which is not bad really, in the pics are frontys in the tumblers and they have heaps of room, they should be really
Good

The problem with yours big bird is eggs can be sucked out the bottom from other fry or fish that are already in the tank, which has happened to me through my strainers., the ones i found have a double bottom so this cant happen! Also for the same price i think the ebay ones look better finished aswell

I made my own out of a sponge filter...don't have any eggs (yet) to test it with but I cut up some tiny bits of air line tube to simulate the eggs and it seems like it would work. Fish can't get them from the bottom either. Only concern is the egg chamber part might be a bit small and it gets more narrow at the top - not sure if this would be a problem or not.
