This is a new but used for 2 weeks. I bought extra pipe to extend the orginal from the taps( 2 taps included). All media included... 4 foams/glass tubes/charcoal. I am selling due to needing extra flow:yes:

Hi all,
Don't sell it, they are great filters. If you like the filter? but need extra flow you have the option of putting the 2217 impeller (6 blade rather than 3) in the filter. Another option is to drill bigger holes in the spray bar, or use the Eheim venturi (I use the venturi) these both give you more flow.

The other option is just to add a power-head, if you use the Koralia type they add a lot of water movement without heating the water or using much power.
If you don't want a Koralia type, Maxi-jet power-heads are very reliable.

Finally if you use a sponge pre-filter (either a DIY one or the Eheim one) you can take the sponges out of the filter and just use the sintered glass tubes and less media = more flow.

Darrel where was you when i bought two power heads and made them into internal filters with sponge and a flurval u5 lol... thank you for taking the time to help me though, really greatful. respect cc

Best of luck if you are going to sell it it is is a great deal for some-one. If you don't get any interest in it, I'd be interested in buying it, but I can't run to £50 until after the next pay day.
