ehiem heater failed

just an observation , last night my ehiem 200 in my 54g tank failed . Must have been from the week long outtage, the batts i was using to keep the tanks going were not strong enough to run the heater to 80d. I had to unplug it by the 4th day and cover the tank up. So this is a pretty new heater, and i assume it got beat up from not enough juice in the batts as the tank water was 64d when it was plugged in. Its fried.

I had a lovely rena smart heater fail on me this week, luckily i spotted it and had a spare.

no losses, thanks, felt the cold water when i went in to get the food clips out in the am. temp was not that low yet ,and had a spare , Rena :wb: gotta hope it holds till i can get to the store to replace the ehiem.It's under warranty.

good, hope they change it for you. mine is under warentee but as i cant remember where i bought it neither do i have the box or paperwork i shall have to write it off.
the good news is that as the tank was cool for some days probably (but not too cool as internal filters were generating some heat - so was about 25 degrees.) and now is back up to 30. my male zeb has a female trapped probably helped by the rise in temp.

hi again, yes the store will replace it at no cost, just gotta get there ,1hr drive and other stuff keeps coming up. Too bad you cant recall where you got your rena, and good luck with the zebs!
