emergency filter prob

hope someone can advise me asap . It's 1 pm here, just noticed my aquaclear filter was not flowing . Did same as supposed to do for power outtage by emptying the water from it and also removed all the biomatrix and sponge and dipped them in safe tank water in bowl. This is to rid the toxins ...not sure how long off, but overnight sometime.

Big concern is I just cleaned my HOT MAGNUM filter this past Friday and today is Sunday...and did a full gravel vacuum last Sunday. Will I get a mini-cycle..? I have kept the mulm that came frome the biomatrix ...should i save it in case mini cycle begins? will it last if i add an air stone to the bowl of mulm? sounds stupid ?

I know i am supposed to stagger the cleaning , yet was forced to clean the aquaclear before starting it up again.

Please, advice here appreciated . this is my 54g
stock : 2 L128's sub adult
9 harlequin raspbora
1 farlowella
3 rainbow

amonia was .25 -did 10% wc - now amonia 0
nitrite 0

look I think you should be fine. I do not know the Hot Magnum filter, but if you just rinsed it and then put it back, it should cyclce very quick. I would not add airstone to the mulm, I would just do what you did, rinse and clean the filter then restart it again. monitor over the next couple of days, ad some seachem prime and should be ok. many thanks BB, appreciate the advice , now i can toss out the bowl of mulm... will do as you said and keep eye on everything...just got paranoid about cleaning too much so close together.
