Anybody keep Reedfish/Ropefish?
apart from being extremely good escape artists and possibly reaching 35" i think they are really interesting but i'm not sure on compatibility, sure there West African fish so the purists will moan if i put one with my "American" Plecos but i don't give a hoot about purist bigots so i'm only interested in hearing from people with Constructive criticism Thank You.
I'd start with a young one small enough for the 4ft for a while but eventually may need to move it on to the 6ft, though TBH i'd quite like 2 or 3 of them.
Are there any tankmates i should avoid apart from ones small enough to eat?
There are a few plants in the 4ft but i was thinking of filling out some spaces with Sagittaria Subulata would that be reedy enough for the ropefish?
i'm in the process at the moment of re-evaluating my stock and i know there are a few i'd like to lose and a lot i'd like to gain, but i already have 5 small Plecs in the 4 so don't need to start attacking the L# Wish List just yet so am looking at alternatives (i don't do tetras)
cheers Rob
