Hi people! im new here and im from singapore. L134s are very popular Plecos in singapore (not as popular as L046 though!) and they are my favorite plecos!

i have a 4x2x2ft tank set up with old black wood and sudo bottom sand. the main inhabitants are 9 sub-adult Altum angels but recently i got hooked by L134 and have been keeping 7 2.5 - 3" fellas for about a week now.

Eating FBW.

the first 2 fella (im guessing both male) that started hiding in cave.. the yellow-based fella on the left hide in that cave since day 1 and didnt leave it ever since.

2nd fella to use a cave.

The rest simply just hide around the wood..

Their hideout. i have 5 caves of different design... mainly M size.

Their home.

Any advice to improve would be greatly appreciated!

thanks!!

Nice! You will be able to pick the males easy enough when they start to get hairy tails. Female L134's often cave as well but of course they don't fan.
Spent a bit of time checking out the lfs when i was last in SG........so jealous of the fish you guys get there.

Guess now they are still small to ID their sex.. i do know one fella who stuck to the exact cave since day 1 and he have been fanning daily though.

Indeed we have lots of fishes in singapore and plecos are pretty popular here too..

very nice :yes::clap::thumbup:

Hey guys, some more pics and a video.

Its strange that i seem to have 3 white-based and 4 yellow-based fella.. very big different on their base color.. i wonder do they belong to different rivers.

My favourite White based fella.. 2.5" long and very daring. Most of the time out in the open even not during feeding time.

Another white based (abit yellowish though) fella and the biggest one i have.. 3" long but quite shy..

Heres a video when its their feeding time. i feed them FBW, Hikari Sinking wafer, Carnivorous pellets and NLS Cichlid formula (for my altums but they seem to enjoy it too) feed them 30mins before lights off and they usually come out to eat even though light is still on..

Sorry for the cloudy tank and yesterday just upgraded their filtration to a 4ft MR.AQUA OHF set.. and added more media as well.. i guess a bacteria boom is causing slight cloudiness..

Thanks for viewing!
