What should be done for external filter maintenance? Not the filter media, the structural maintenance, like the impeller and ceramic, o-rings etc. Specifically the filters I have are Eheim 2180's and 2329, Fluval FX5, 304 and 404, Tetratec ex1200's and ex2400. To try and ensure it and the part's longevity.
And also, Ive just replaced my Tetratec ex2400 with another Eheim 2180 :woohoo: and will store it for the time being. What, if anything, should be done in preparation for storage? Like lubricating and alike. And what about ambient temperature to prevent the plastic from expanding/contracting too much?
