Feeding on holidays

How do people feed their bristlenose when you go away on holiday?, i am going away for 2 weeks and dont know how i am gonna feed the albinos and fry. have contemplated auto feeder with crushed algae wafer but they never eat it fast enough.

Ideas please?

Can you trust someone to come in and feed them for you if you put a small amount of food in those pill holders you can get so they are a measured portion each day so they can't over feed.

If not then I would just leave them for 2 weeks as the adults will be ok its just the fry :dk:

Throw a raw sweet potato in. There will be times when the fry don't get a lot of food but they will still get some and no one will starve at least.
Also a planted driftwood, new one would be great, keep them amused for a few weeks grinding away on it.

I use Eheim auto feeders with crushed algae discs in them. I usually have to play around with the opening size, the number of feeds and the number of rotations. But after a little fiddling, I haven't had a problem yet.

Try finding a small sized wafer, although, I've noticed some brands tend to foul quicker than others.

it is better to underfeed than overfeed. All of the ideas are good. Maybe check with your neighbours and set up a pill box system, so one cannot overfeed indeed ? The other option is check with your LFS or Aquarium club. There might be a charge but worth considering. The last idea would be to ask in this forum if there might be members who live in SYD in your area if they can at least feed every other day etc ? cheers jk :thumbup:

good watter change and good feeds before u go away the nothing fry will suvive u may lose a few but better than some one killing the lot by over feeding
