Filtration for breeding tanks?

I have been using the hydro sponge filters for my breeding tanks. These are 20 gallon long tanks. The problem is that the food, decapsulated brine shrimp eggs and fry starter, clogs up the sponge filters! So I put whisper 20 HOB filters on the tank, with a large pore sponge over the intake tube to keep the fry from being sucked into the filter. Now the whisper filters get clogged up to quick also. I know I'm feeding them alot, but I have 100+ five week old fry in one tank and 150+ two week old fry in the other tank. I even turn the filters off so that most of the food settles to the bottom and then turn them back on, but the problem continues! What can I do differently to keep this from happening? What kind of filter setup would you use in this case? Help!!!!!

Cant really help you mate. I use Eheim (of course) externals on all my tanks with aquaballs aswell. I also use a length of hose pipe to suck any other crap left over. Never get any problems. I am planning on having a few fry tanks with only aquaballs running so it will be interesting to see how quick they clog up

Cheers
