Hello All,

Atfter nearly 3 frustrating years, I noticed during feeding last night that daddy released his batch of swimmers. I counted 15free swimming L134s so I am absolutely estatic. Love it and great feeling. Will try to get photos, however will see how it will go time wise. cheers jk

Great stuff Jk! You've gotta be happy with that mate!
They are a very frustrating L until they get going. I hope they keep breeding for you!
Did you do anything different or just had lots of patience

just patience etc. nothing else, Oh i did feed less and less, so basically 2days food 1 day no food and varied diet and just leaving them alone. so far counted 20 swimming around. I will wait now for 2-3 weeks and then will strip down the whole tank to clean. cheers jk

Good stuff mate. Makes a lot of sense. I've definitely been guilty of mothering my fish too much and it seems to stop them breeding.
Interested in your temp & ph if you don't mind.
Mine first bred around 26 & 6.0ph from memory but seem to hate that now

they usually start up breeding again after you move them into different tank with different parameters... for some reason ph doesnt seem to matter... been spawned in 8.5... 7.5,7.0,6.5,6.0... and various temps too so im a firm believer neither of those two factors are a breeding trigger....
