Hi all,
I'd be interested in a source as well. This is the good stuff, the stiff Poret foam for making Hamburg mattenfilters. I tried to get some in the UK, (but failed), the advantage of it is that it is so rigid it stands up on its own and you don't need a scaffold for it, you can also cut it up with a craft knife or hack-saw.

You can get non-poret ppi10 foam and HMF foam scaffolds from <http://www.aquaristic.net/>, choose "English" from the top of the page, and they will post to the UK.

"Aqua japonica" do them as well. <http://www.aqua-japonica.de/>

Poret foam

Hi all,
Mark the last lot I had was much denser, this was the ppi10 foam (the open pore stuff) and the last lot I had was ppi30 and 10cm thick and that was much stiffer. I think I could have got ppi30 for about the same although the carriage might have been more.

If anyone is interested the foam Geeman, Max and myself bought was "50cm x 50cm x 5cm" from <http://www.niersbachtal.de/Filterschwaemme/Filtermatten-blau?XTCsid=dphp4msjgsa0jekfrq788e8do6> and 10 sheets worked out at euro 97.70 delivered to the UK, and a £10 fee from the bank for the money transfer and the exchange rate at euro = 90p

This came to £102 pounds for the 10 sheets delivered (and about an hour in the bank sorting out the money transfer, although apparently it should have only taken about 2 minutes).
