Hi im bri, im new to forums and things, i have kept fish in the past, but suprised about the things that have changed i was mostly keeping standard fish but this time round ive gone for plecs but i was wondering if any one can help please, i used to have a common pleco, grew to about 18 inchs before he died, i had him for nearly 16 years and i believe he was about 4 years old when i got him, anyway im going on, i now have a few different plecs one is a L15 tiger/candy, (which ever name you prefer) also an L36, a bristle nose and two hoplosturnum catfish, a spotted bulldog and some other bottom feeders, my question is do you put the cucumber in with the skin on? i never fed my old pleco with cucumber, just broccoilli, he loved broccolli, but have read about cucumber and other veggies, thanks guys

hello and :welcome:. nice Ls and fish you have. Both are omnivors. I keep the skin on, wash it well before use and slice down the middle. I also remove the seeds. Also try gourgette with skin on. May I also suggest some good pleco wafers/pellets with some protein. cheers jk
ps when you have time, post us a photo of your tank :D

hi ive taken pic of tank, photo is ok but doesnt get all it in, theres a few caves and wood at back, the other pick is my L15, i am getting a zebra plec today, first one ive seen round here for a while, bit pricy but cant wait, im like a kid in a sweet shop, £180.00.... it was sold by the shop im getting it from 14 months ago as a baby for £150.00, i think the previous owner has given up keeping fish, and i believe has sold everything back to the shop, with what i read in pfk this month, its possible if the dam goes ahead it will wipe out alot of the l46's and other L's on the xingu river, so may start to become difficult to get hold of them and poss the price will rocket??View attachment 3259[/ATTACH]

zebra on the way

hi again, thanks for all the help, its good to know there are people out there who can help and give advice, i have posted a reply, but i think ive lost it, told you i was new to this forum thing LOL , anyway if you havnt seen the reply, i am on my way tonight to buy aN L46 zebra, its about inch and half long, about 14 months oldish, the shop i am getting it from sold it to the guy who has sold it back after having it a year, and has now decided to give up fish keeping, he bought it for £150, and the shop wants £180, is it pricy?? only thing is i havnt seen any around here for ages and there were 2 on ebay that went for £100, which i missed out on, but i am stubbon and want it now LOL, i have seen it already, and it is a good plec, very black stripes, very white body, no damage to any part of the body, to be honest it looks really good, so think will get it, i did try to knock price down, but they wont have any of it, anyway i will add pics of my tank and some other pics later, i have some caves at the back and there are plenty of hiding places and 2 good pieces of bog wood, so think have enough for everyone, thanks again. regards bri....
