I am wondering if it's safe to use Furan 2 in a tank with Plecos. I am beginning to suspect that some of the other fish may have columnaris and I would much rather just treat the whole tank. I hope it's all in my head and I am just over reacting

Also, is it ok with snails? I get contradicting info online:wb:

I have used it successful on a tank full of L134's, worked awesome.
Can't speak for the snails though.
Another thing you can do is drop your temperature.
Columnaris multiplies way faster in the warmer temps, dropping the temp down helps to slow it
Can't remember exactly but I think I dropped my temp down to about 74 Fahrenheit.
I ended up doing my treatment twice.
Good luck.

Thanks

It also seems the snails can take it - at least the trapdoor snails and nerite are fine. I did take out the ones I could find though. Not sure about the rabbit snails...haven't seen them lately

Honestly, I am not sure what the problem is - I don't see fuzzies on them but it looks like something is/was eating 2 of my fish's lips away and one girl is pineconning. She acts totally fine though. I dont get it

Sounds like something my rainbowfish used to get when they were in a low ph tank with plecos. It was either the pH/kH or perhaps the water changes weren't quite regular enough but as soon as they got a new water change it would start to disappear.
