My Eheim pro 3 is leaking and even after a good clean an re-grease I haven’t been able to stop it so I’ve ordered a replacement. But I was wondering if there was a way of rejuvenating old seals so that they can be used again? I know you can soften brittle rubber by boiling it, has anybody ever tried it with a rubber seal? At £10 a pop it would be good if they can be used again!

It is the main fault of all Eheims apart from the classics

I have tried every trick and they go again and when your not around

Yep it went while I was away for new year, about 1/4 tank on the bedroom floor now drying out! Decided I need to put all my filters inside bowls/buckets as a precaution!

If you have tanks inthe house yes a good idearor place the intake so it is only just under the water line then it will only empty a small amount of water
