Hi Everybody,

Another here from Sydney, Australia. Except I'm a Kiwi "New Zealander) moved back here almost 2 years ago after 10 years in the United Kingdom.

Presently we've got a total of 10 tanks, one of those being a fluval edge in the office which presently contains red cherry shrimps but some fish have got to go in sometime. Its a nice little display tank and got a lot of comments in the office. Great for watching and relaxing with.

At home well the hobby got away and what started as a single little 70L 2 footer about 6 months ago has grown to include another couple of 70L 2 footers, a pair of 30cm cubes plus 4 160L tanks. Presently we're keeping Crystal Red Shrimp, Crystal Black Shrimp, Cherry Red Shrimp, Galaxy Rasboras (aka Celestial Pearl Danios), various Fancy Guppies, 9 Ottos and a single Albino Pleco.

I'm in love with L046 but also looking for a trio of Peppermints, the budget doesn't stretch to a small colony of L046 yet, but that'll come in time ;-) Also like the look of L270 but need to do a bit more research before committing to a trio just yet.

Anyway, thats me from a fish point of view. I work in IT Security plus grow Carnivorous Plants and a fair amount of gardening. Also a bit of a Gym junkie but thats partially to get back in shape. Round is a shape, but I'd like less round ;-)

G'day :welcome: to PlecoPlanet. Good idea doing some research first  and I hope you manage to find a trio of peps, it's not very often that they come up for sale.

I used to grow a lot of Heliamphora's and Nepenthes as well as a few drosera's. But having moved country three times in the last 12 years and having had some very rare and expensive plants I've pretty much given most away to other collectors. When I was contracting (IT) back in the UK I had a pretty reasonable collection and one of the most extensive and diverse for Helies, but I had spent the dollars also. I've had plants that cost me in excess of 3000 pounds for a plant 1 inch tall. These days though married with children and the money isn't around anymore. Before the crash of 2000 you could pretty much print money.

I've seen a couple of trio's of peppermints come up and waiting to hear back on shipping one trio to Sydney from Brisbane. Here's hoping, they're great fish and I need to refresh myself with plecos/ancistrus again. I've bred a couple of ancistrus species back in Nz in the 90s so hoping to do the same again. Do love the look of the L046s, just not the cost. But the Mrs actually suggested a tank in the bedroom so I'm checking out the ADA 45-C cube, again don't like the price but it will make an absolutely stunning display. It'll be a planted tank, just not sure about the occupants yet. More research, planning and hoping the bonus comes through this month ;-)

And thanks guys. Enjoying my look around this forum so far. Some great knowledge and some pretty cool people

Thanks guys. And pleased to say I think I've just confirmed the purchased of a pair of L134 girls. And hoping to add a pair to those pending the bank balance in the morning. Here's hoping
