Hi all,
Well done Sandstone, they aren't easy to raise at all, the fry are really small, and form a cloud around the parents, which means they are easily picked off by any other fish in the tanks (so no dithers).
I've found they do best in tanks that have some "biofilm" (so not too clean) and they need feeding with either BBS or microworms when they are little (they may be too small for BBS initially).
I'm fairly low tech any way, but in this case I think it helps, as you get much better survival in tanks with lots of cover and particularly lots of "java" moss (I see you've got some all ready).
Assuming that you are not interested in raising hundreds of fry, the combination of large sponge filter, clean water (water change every day, but no tank maintenance) and lots of Oak leaves and moss looks a really good one for keeping many many small "difficult" fish going. I've either used it, or seen other people, raise Otocinclus, Rams, Sparkling Gourami, Dwarf Cories, Apistogramma, Scarlet Badis and Killis - Epiplatys annulatus using this approach.
cheers Darrel
